Mime and Imagination Concert
A lively combination of traditional mime and participatory
storytelling theater. This is a multimedia presentation of mime with
live music and sound effects. Children exercise their powers of imagination
as they interpret the mime's illusions. Students are invited on stage
to help act out the stories. The fast paced musical accompaniment enhances
the atmosphere of this intense creative experience.

Drug and Alcohol Awareness Program
Carleton worked extensively with the Chicago Heart Association
developing an Anti-Smoking program called "Do You Mime If I Smoke".
He worked with educators and doctors to write a workbook and seven public
service announcements designed to pursued young people not to smoke. He
used this information and research to develop his own specific program designed
to educate young people to the hazards of all illegal drugs and alcohol.
Carleton has performed this program for many "RED RIBBON' week programs
at schools. The research with the Heart Association has revealed that we
must reach children by the sixth grade level. After this age, children have
already decided if they will be willing to experiment with drugs and alcohol.
It is imperative that we expose this issue to children between fourth and
sixth grade students.
Using your imagination may help you to make important decisions
that will effect you the rest of your life. Our drug and alcohol awareness
program deals with peer pressure, the effects of drugs on school and other
hidden dangers. The school-yard bully situation is also addressed.
A special Teacher's Guide Supplement assists with follow up questions for
the classroom after our program. We often do two different programs at one
school. We will do our mime and imagination program for grades K- 3 and
the Awareness program for grades 4+. This way every student
in the school receives the benefit of a program that is appropriate for
them.
